Welcome back to the Holt Legacy! Last time New Brunswick, Saskatchewan, Nunavut, and Newfoundland had birthdays, Yukon was tricked into staying out all night, Nova Scotia beat up his bully and was then sent to boarding school, and Yukon meet Cecilia Bunch who then asked him to prom.
YUKON POV
There were butterflies in my stomach as I made my way into the limo for prom. What if Cecilia stood me up? I know we’ve been talking all the time, but Annie and I used to talk a bunch too. My younger brothers didn’t seem nervous at all.
But I shouldn’t have worried. Cecilia was there and we had a great time! Everything with Cecilia was amazing!
Apparently she had been just as interested in me as I had been in her, and she asked me to be her boyfriend! I’m amaze that she could actually want me.
Things weren’t quite so perfect though. My brothers spent the entire night making trouble.
They both kept getting into fights! I suspect that Nova Scotia may have put them up to it, since she couldn’t go.
It was awful when I was voted Prom King! Apparently everyone had voted for me as a joke, and everyone was laughing as I was forced to climb up to the stage to get the crown.
Cecilia quickly made me feel better.
Though my brother’s also had their own misfortunes. Saskatchewan was tripped, and New Brunswick was made fun of whenever he asked someone for a dance. I’m not sure if people don’t like us Holts, or of their earlier behaviour pissed everyone off.
It didn’t stop New Brunswick from destroying the back drop though.
The two of them finally calmed down during one of the slow dances in which they each found someone.
Prom may not have been perfect, but I’ll never forget the wonderful time I spent with Cecilia!
Yukon: “Did Nova Scotia put you up to all that stuff you did at prom?”
New Brunswick: “Yeah, she said she’d give us all this money if we caused some chaos for the ‘stuck up brats’. Those were her words.”
Yukon: “You didn’t exactly make people like you.”
New Brunswick: “I have Saskatchewan, as long as we have each other, will be alright. Screw everyone else!”
ONTARIO POV
Fixing things with my abilities have been getting easier and easier. It’s coming like a second nature now. I mostly just discover what I can do as I stumble across it.
Liliana: “I think we should start talking about having kids. We aren’t getting any younger, and I’ve always wanted some!”
Ontario: “I do want kids, but I worry about what kind of life they’ll have. I was frequently bullied at school and I know people still look at me funny for being different.”
Liliana: “There may be plenty of idiots out there, but there are also plenty of people like me! I don’t care how different you look or how you came to be here! You’ve made a life for yourself despite the obstacles, I have faith that any children we have will do the same.”
Ontario: “You always know just what to say to make me feel better. I don’t want to wait any longer, let’s have a baby!”
The plans for expanding my family were interrupted by my little brother’s birthday.
He’s announced that he’s going to be staying here, and as I haven’t really gone anywhere either, I guess I’m not one to talk. Yukon and I have never been very close, there is such a large age gap between us. He always seemed like a sweet kid though, so I don’t doubt that will get along.
I do find his choice of ‘career’ a little odd though, he’s proclaimed himself a Ghost Hunter and even got a license from city hall and everything! I don’t really believe in ghosts, but Yukon has done a ton of research and even built some equipment.
I may not think much of his chosen profession, but the kid is really smart. He often beats me at chess and I’ve been playing ages longer than he has. Besides, our family is plenty wealthy, that making money isn’t a concern. Dad has made lots of investments all over town which give us money on a regular basis.
The warm weather has arrived and everyone is enjoying the pool. New Brunswick has been getting pretty good at diving.
Though I certainly question Saskatchewan’s food preferences, and manners.
YUKON POV
School may not have always been easy, well, the people part of it anyway.
But I’m finally graduating and couldn’t be happier!
I know everyone has doubts about what I’m doing, but ghosts are certainly real.
There’s even different types of them! Right now most of my clients seem to have me catching shades. There’s less of traditional ghosts and more of an impression of a person who used to live. There’s been a lot of them hanging around, so I’ve had plenty of work.
Things with Cecilia and I have been great, I may not be very good a poetry, but I put my heart into every letter I write her.
Cecilia: “YUKON! It’s great to see you in person! I love getting your letters, but nothing is quite the same as being together.”
Yukon: “I have missed being with you too! It feels like it’s been ages since we’ve been properly together.”
It didn’t take long for Cecilia and I to pick up where we left off at prom.
Yukon: “Now that I’ve finished school, things seem to be going great. I’ve even managed to start my own ghost hunting business! Not a lot of people may publicly admit to believing in ghosts, but I’ve had enough clients that more people believe than it seems.”
Cecilia: “I’m so happy for you! I’ve been so busy with my art, I plan to devote my life to it! The world could always use a little more beauty.”
Yukon: “The world is more beautiful just for having you in it.”
Cecilia: “Yukon, I know the girl isn’t supposed to be the one to ask, but I’ve never much cared for society’s gender roles. Will you marry me?”
Yukon: “YES! I can’t imagine being with anyone else!”
After that Cecilia showed me just what she had been up to.
She may be spreading art throughout public areas, but it wasn’t exactly legal.
Yukon: “Mom, Dad, I’d like to you met Cecilia. We’re getting married.”
Aria: “She seems like a lovely girl, but are you sure you aren’t rushing into this too fast?”
Yukon: “I’ve known Cecilia since high school! I didn’t see you asking any questions when Ontario got engaged!”
Cecilia assured me that she wasn’t too upset by my parents reaction, but I was still seething. She had done nothing wrong, just because she didn’t meet society’s beauty standards and doesn’t always behave in ways that are considered normal doesn’t mean there’s anything wrong with her. I love her! That should be enough for them.
My business was booming, though I do wonder if this frequency of ghosts is normal. There seems to be an awful lot of them.
While I do my ghost hunting, Cecilia works hard on her art. It’s always nice to hear that she has some fans.
With my parents reaction combined with the fact that the two of us prefer to not make a huge deal of the occasion, Cecilia and I went to a beautiful waterfall for a private ceremony.
Both of Cecilia’s parents are dead, but I know mine are going to be furious for doing this without them. They haven’t exactly been supportive of my choices, so what did they expect?
Cecilia assured me that whatever happens, she’s going to be there for me.
As expected, Mom was very upset when she found out Cecilia and I had gotten married without them present. My Dad didn’t seem to care much, he was mainly disappointed that we didn’t throw a huge party or anything. He doesn’t seem to get that I don’t like parties.
I couldn’t help but feel guilt at my Mom’s disappointment, but Cecilia quickly assured me that I had nothing to worry about.
Neither of us may have done anything before, but our wedding night is something I won’t be quick to forget.
ONTARIO POV
Liliana and I have been trying for a baby ever since our discussion.
I was so thrilled to find out that she was pregnant!
I may still have my worries, but I can’t wait to be a dad!
Liliana has had to cut a few things out of her life for now, including the hot tub.
Soon enough it was time for my birthday, soon I’ll be celebrating those of my child!
BERNARD POV
Will had called me, he had finished reading Vita’s books and he had found something. As usual we met up somewhere isolated.
Will: “One of the main things that I’ve noticed while reading Vita’s books, is that whoever is behind this had no problem with her being a vampire. It is something she mentioned freely. Based on her tone about such things, I don’t think whoever she’s working for is actively against vampires or other supernaturals.”
Bernard: “Why does that matter?”
Will: “It matters because it means that whatever is going on isn’t because of prejudice or hate! However is doing this has a specific goal in mind, and whatever that goal is vampires and other supernaturals are necessary.”
Will: “I’ve also managed to get a lead on our mystery boat.”
Will: “I’ve found some docking records in the next town over which name the boat. Unfortunately the listed owner is a shell company, so I still have some more digging to do to find the owner.”
Bernard: “Has there been any news on a Council meeting?”
Will: “Yeah, it’s going to be happening very soon. Apparently this is freaking a lot of people out, so be on the look out for the summons.”
It wasn’t long after my meeting with Will that Nova Scotia returned home from boarding school. She may look a lot like her mother, but she reminds me a lot of Texas when he was her age.
Nova Scotia: “So you’re the girl my brother married.”
Nova Scotia: “You break his heart and I’ll give you radiation poisoning.”
Yukon: “Don’t threaten my wife!”
Nova Scotia: “As long as she doesn’t plan on hurting you she has nothing to worry about.”
Nova Scotia: “You and Ontario actually bred?! Are you insane?!”
Nova Scotia: “Just make sure the sprog grows up to be a little terror.”
Yukon’s new wife seems to have a fondness for going out and spray painting everything. I know Texas is getting annoyed with all the fines she’s incurring. Apparently doing this is illegal.
It’s so odd to think that Texas will soon be a grandfather, I can still remember when he was born, a small wrinkly baby. I’ve helped to raise him and I can’t help but worry how much longer he will be with us.
Cecilia has taken a break from painting public locations and has instead taken it upon herself to decorate the upstairs hallway, which I admit is looking a little plain.
I knew this was coming.
But somehow Texas’ death feels even worse than Vita’s.
Maybe it’s because I helped raise him. I was there from the moment he was born!
And now I am here for his death.
He and Aria were so much in love. She is absolutely heartbroken.
Texas may have left a hole in the family, but babies don’t understand grief.
Cecilia and Yukon announced they were expecting their first child.
Just as Liliana and Ontario had twin baby girls, Radon and Sulphur.
Other
Aria was on the computer, when suddenly everyone in the room got mad at her for cheating… I have no idea what was going on.
Aria painted a masterpiece which was just a blank canvas. I can only assume that this was a glitch.
Texas got an opportunity to execute an evil plan.
He had to go to the military base and hold the world hostage!
I love this game, and I’ve never had this happen to me before.
Alright it’s time to update traits! Yukon added Hot-Headed to Light Sleeper, Eccentric, Night Owl, and Lucky. His lifetime wish is Paranormal Profiteer. Nova Scotia is now a Snob, which joins Evil, Athletic, Neat, and Friendly. Her lifetime wish is Emperor of Evil. Cecilia is a Slob, Loves the Outdoors, Avant Garde, Star Quality, Virtuoso, and a Light Sleeper (She apparently got a Uni degree, so she has 6 traits). Her lifetime wish is Street Credible. Radon is Good and Neurotic, while Sulphur is Neurotic and Brave. Texas died at 94 days old (the same day Nova Scotia came home from boarding school).
And I think that’s it. Next time will be the Supernatural Council meeting!
